Separation Systems offers for the first time a temperature programmable inlet that can use small-bore capillary columns. This has permitted the development of a simulated distillation analysis per ASTM D2887 in under seven (7) minutes of time using a small bore column, high flow rates and accelerated temperature programming (30° - 40°C/min).
Relative response factors in such a system are close to unity from C10 to C40. Fast cool-down time allows a total turnaround time of approximately twelve minutes.
The analysis exhibits excellent agreement between the boiling point distribution of the reference gas oil and the consensus values obtained by ASTM D 2887 as seen below on Table I.
A complete system includes a Model 6890 or 6850 Gas Chromatograph, data acquisition system and automatic sampler manufactured by Agilent Technologies; all custom configured to include Separation Systems' new small-bore capillary inlet and SimDis Expert® software. Fully warranted by the manufacturer anywhere in the world.
