The Analysis

This GC is used to analyze approximately 5 ppm (v/v) of hydrogen in liquid propylene mixtures.

 

How It Works

The GC is configured to receive liquid injections directly from the pressurized Welker cylinder. A valve is actuated and it injects the sample, which passes through another valve and into a molecular sieve column to the TCD detector. The mole-sieve column is protected with a pre-column in order to avoid the matrix hydrocarbon from entering this column.

Total analysis time is approximately 8 minutes.

 

 

 

Other Uses

     1.    Separate H2 from ethylene and acetylene gas mixtures.

     2.    Analyze H2 at 1.0-1000 ppm in gas mixtures of ethylene and acetylene.

     3.    Analyze H2 at 1.0 ppm (by weight) in liquid propylene.
