Benzene, Toluene and Aromatics in Light Naphthas (ASTM D-2267-88)

APPLICATION # 220

The Analysis

This GC has been designed to analyze benzene, toluene, C8, and heavier aromatics in naphtha, having a boiling point of less than 280F. The concentrations range from 1.0 to 30% (v/v) of the individual aromatic compounds.

How It Works

A sample is introduced into a strongly polar porous polymer column. At the end of approximately 8 minutes, benzene, toluene, and ethyl benzene, will have been analyzed by the FID detector.
