Scope

This is an ILS (Inter Laboratory Study) to develop the precision statement for the ASTM D-7096 method. This is not an ASTM D-3710 round robin. Please make sure that your software is setup to run ASTM D-7096 and not ASTM D-3710.

How to participate

If you would like to participate in this round robin please contact us at (800) 340-3302.

What will you receive

The round robin kit contains 22 ampoules:

    - 1 Ampoule with a gravimetric solution to calibrate retention times and response factors for samples that do not have Ethanol.

    - 1 Ampoule with a gravimetric solution to calibrate retention times and response factors for samples that have Ethanol.

    - 6 Ampoules with samples containing Ethanol. These samples are labeled with the letter E.

    - 14 Ampoules with samples without Ethanol.

Instructions

  1. Follow the chromatographic conditions described in the ASTM D-7096 method. If you do not have the method, you can obtain a copy by contacting Lisa Drennen at LDrennen@astm.org

  2. Although there are 20 vials for sampling, actually there are only 10 gasoline samples.  Each gasoline sample has been placed in two vials. Therefore, only one injection per vial is needed.

  3. Download the certificate for the gravimetric calibration standards by clicking on this icon .

  4. Download the Excel spreadsheet and use it to report your results. To download the spreadsheet click on this icon .

  5. Send the Excel spreadsheet to the following e-mail address support@separationsystems.com
