This refinery gas analyzer has been
designed using the concept known as “refinery gas in parallel”. Two
separate signals from FID and TCD detectors respectively are analyzed
independently by the gas chromatograph. However, the order of elution of
the components is electronically handled in such a way that only one
signal from either detector is analyzed at any point in time. This
results in only one data acquisition file acquired by the data system
which means that only one chromatogram and one report will be prepared
for the entire sample analysis. This parallel design provides baseline
resolution of more than 30 components and individual analysis of the C6+
compounds. The gas chromatograph is able to analyze hydrogen from 100ppm
to approximately 99.9% including analysis of H2S. The refinery gas
analyzer is completely automatic and has been physically configured to
occupy the smallest possible bench space in the laboratory. |
