Home Up ASTM D-7096 Trace Oxygenates ASTM D-6352/IP480 ASTM D-7213

Scope

This is an ILS (Inter Laboratory Study) to develop the precision statement for the proposed standard test method of Trace Oxygenates in Gasoline.

How to participate

If you would like to participate in this study please forward an email to: roundrobin@separationsystems.com and provide your information and shipping address

When

The ILS kit will be mailed after information and address submission has been received.  Results can also be submitted to roundrobin@separationsystem.com

Note: Statistics will be carried out by ASTM.

What will you receive?

  • The calibration standards’ box will also contain a certificate of concentrations of each individual oxygenate component. To access the calibration standards’ certificate click on the following icon .

  • An example chromatogram with the elution order of all components in the standards can be obtained by clicking on the following icon.

  • The second box contains six ampoules, each containing an unknown sample (box label is indicated below).

  • The internal standard 1,2-DME (1,2-Dimethoxyethane) has already been added to each individual sample. To access the internal standard’s certificate click on the following icon .

Instructions

  1. Follow the chromatographic conditions described in the ASTM Draft proposed method.
  2. If you do not have a copy of the Standard Test Method for Determination of Trace Oxygenates in Finished Gasoline Streams by Multidimensional Gas Chromatography, you can obtain one by sending an e-mail to roundrobin@separationsystems.com
  3. Inject each standard and set up the six levels calibration curve using your software of choice.
  4. Inject the samples and analyze them using the calibration curve and the internal standard option.
  5. Download the Excel spreadsheet and use it to report your results. To download the spreadsheet click on this icon .
  6. Send the Excel spreadsheet to the following e-mail address roundrobin@separationsystems.com
